Meet Stephanie

Hearing the words “you have cancer” is surreal. A genetic predisposition put me in that situation. Years later those same words would enter our world again but this time affecting my spouse. My role as wife quickly changed to caregiver providing love and cancer support from the sideline. What I learned from these experiences, and my years in patient care, provided a foundation to offer compassion & understanding to others faced with a life altering experience.

Transforming Cancer support

Finding myself in the cancer support role as a caregiver made me realize the missing pieces through the experience. A definite gap between the emotional and medical aspects of the disease.

Enter, my new role as a Cancer Doula. The word Doula has Greek origins and means “one who serves.” Helping others is part of my human design and there’s no better way to step into what I’m meant to do than support others going through similar situations.

I want to share what I learned and the tools I used to help my family through our experience with cancer, to help you cope with the emotional impact of cancer. I’ll be your coach to help break through the overwhelm and fear, find hope and become calmer through the process.
